Well, I like right next to Hollywood, and yes there are excellent and tberirle areas. But, you want to be more careful at night, the characters come out of the woodwork then. It is not unsafe for a single young woman to live here, plenty girlfriends of mine have. You just need a car, that is a necessity out here in LA, and you must be prepared for the outrageous expenses. You pay upwards of $1,000 a month for a tiny studio or one bedroom. It is very pricey, but I went out here on my own when I was 20 and I would never discourage anyone from following their dreams! After 8 years I despise it here and can't wait to go, but it was worth coming because I met my husband here! Excellent luck!
